Submit a Guest Post

Hi guys. It’s awesome to see there’s some interest in submitting content to Surf Fishing In So Cal to be featured on the blog. Lucky for you, I am accepting guest submissions. I won’t take just anything though. Surf Fishing In So Cal publishes only top-notch content and I expect the same level of quality from guest submissions.

What Type of Content I’m Looking For

  • Fishing Tales
  • How-To’s
  • Informational Articles
  • Fun Facts About Surf Fishing
  • Gear Reviews

Remember, this website is strictly about surf fishing. The content you submit should be directly about surf fishing or tie in to a concept that is related to surf fishing in some way. If you’re concerned with your topic, reach out and email me at surffishingsocalsd@gmail.com. I’ll get back quickly.

How Does a Guest Submission Work?

Typically, if you’re looking to submit a guest post, you’re likely a start up writer/blogger etc. Or, you’re simply a fisherman who really wants to share their story or their knowledge. Either way, you’ll shoot me an email at surffishingsocalsd@gmail.com or reach out via the contact us page, and include the following in your email.

  • Subject: Guest Submission SFSC
  • Tell me about yourself and why you would like to submit a guest post.
  • If you have a website or blog you would like the content to link to at the end of the post, include that.
  • Tell me about the topic you plan to write about (usually a few sentences/however much is necessary to convey what the article will be like).

After that, I’ll review your email and tell you if I like the idea and if I decide to go forward with it. I’ll provide you with a target deadline of when I’d like the piece by (usually no sooner than a week from notice). And you can then begin working on your article/submission and ideally, you can provide quality “grabbing” images to go with the piece.

Upon submission, I will review your work, make edits as I see fit, send it back to you for your approval and publish it on the blog portion of the website.

If you have any further questions, don’t hesitate to reach out. I look forward to your submission.
